Negroni
Equal measures of gin, bitter red aperitivo and sweet vermouth create the recognizable balance of a Negroni. This home recipe uses the classic framework for the drink listed on Beiruty’s menu, allowing bitterness, botanicals and orange aroma to remain prominent. Sweet vermouth brings more than sugar: its wine and herbal character help connect the other ingredients. Stir with ice until the mixture feels cold, then strain over a fresh cube for a measured finish. An orange peel supplies fragrance without adding the juice or sweetness that would change the cocktail’s concentrated style.
